What is a domain alias?

Say you have a hosting package with domeinA.nl and you want a second domain name, domeinB.nl. You order the domain name via the shopping cart on our website and choose which (existing) hosting package the domain should be added to.

If you go to www.domeinA.nl, that name stays in the address bar; if you go to www.domeinB.nl, that domain name stays in the address bar. So both use the same hosting space.

If you have an email address piet@domeinA.nl, everything addressed to piet@domeinB.nl is forwarded there. All DNS records you create for domeinA.nl also apply to domeinB.nl. You can of course detect which URL is being used yourself and still offer two different websites that way.

The alias domain does not appear separately in the control panel, and you cannot create separate email addresses or subdomains on it.
